ME or XP???

Hi, i have just built a new gaming system. Its a p4 1.6 gig system...it has 512 mb of ddr ram and a geforce 4 ti4400....I was wondering which os would be better for my components and better for gaming. I am currenty using ME and im pretty satisfied with it, but i also wouldnt mind switching to XP.

XP, is supposed to be the best Windows platform (so I've heard), personally don't like the look of it), but ME, is pretty buggy, so most people would suggest you upgrade to XP.

XP is a real DOG
IF you have a LAN stay away from it and it does not speed up your system like promised. I tried It and went back to ME.

Just my view.

I would go with XP, I use it both at work and at home and it is much better than ME. IMO and several others that I know Win ME is the worst OS Microsoft have ever released, I know people who prefer Win 95 to Win ME because its so bad.

I second the above post. As long as your system isn't a real "DOG", then neither will XP. To get a satisfying experience, make sure you're running at least a 800MHz pc with 256MB RAM. Preferred would be 1GHz or faster with 512MB RAM.

For the record, software doesn't speed up your LAN. The hardware controls whether the speed will be fast or slow!!

If you don't like the look for XP, there are ways to get it back to the classic view...
