There is a method to log on to windows me without
having to retype your password I have forgotten how.
(not using the esc key) Can someone help this lame brain ?

Johnva,

As far as I recall, you should look for *.pwl files. They contain the password list. Just delete it.

Having said that, beware! And do it on your own risk! Move the file just to check if it works. Then delete it if successful §;O)

Once you delete it, type in your user name, but leave the password blank, click OK. That should be it!

You can also use TweakUI to autologin. Just do a search at google, should be the first hit.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I'll try:

Right click Network Neighborhood
Goto Properties
In "Primary Windows Logon" select "Windows Logon"

Now when you start Windows, it should not ask you to logon.
