MDX - Time Series Question ...... simple, I hope!

I am relatively new to MDX and Analysis Services with MS SQL Server 2000. I have a budget where an asset is depreciated over a number of years. At the end of each period (Month) the closing balance should be transferred to the opening balance of the next month. Only trouble is, I cannot transfer the amount using an MDX Expression/Function.

I would greatly appreciate some help.
