set up an mdw with no problems - till now and Im not sure what adjustments to make.
mdw has different name than mdb
mdw is in shared network folder with mdb backend file
frontend files are on individual machines (C:\DB folder)
users opening frontend using shortcut which is configured to use the mdw mentioned above
users have no problem logging in and using the mdb EXCEPT if one of the 2 accounts in the Admins group are logged in - if one of them is logged in, the other users never even get to the login prompt! "Couldn't lock file 'Admin', file in use"
Admins group does have permission to open the database exclusively, but even if the file is opened regularly (using the same shortcut), subsequent users are locked out.
Any suggestions of changes I should make to prevent this error in the future?
