Does anyone know how I would go about downloading CDR directly from the MDR2000 buffer box. The buffer was connected to our MAT6 PC which had a harddrive failure. I dont want to lose any data while the PC is being repaired and hope there is some way of getting the raw data off using procomm or something like that.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It can be done with procomm, but the records are pulled out one at a time. The command to pull a record is ^V XT and then a ^V OK, and so on. When you get to the END record you have to clear the box ^V CL and set the pointed back ^V BE. Very hard to do with procomm. Depending on the size of your box you will be able to hold up to 350,000 call records before it gets full.

You could also connect your MDR port directly to a PC running Procomm or Hyperterminal or even a printer and print off the records as they are spit out by the switch.
