Hi there,
I've a Fedora core 2 installed Dell Poweredge (2cpu). Today i checked my /tail/var/log/messages and noticed this error: mdmpd: mdmpd failed and theese errors: kernel: mtrr: your processor doesn't support write-combining
Jul 24 11:21:42 genial kernel: mtrr: Serverworks LE detected. Write-combining disabled.
Now, i googled out the issue but couldn't find a solution to fix the mdmpd problem. Search results say that "You can leave it off unless you have a RAID device." and i have a raid device and can't figure out how to make that mdmpd work. Why in the world did it crash.. all i did was to reboot the server before i noticed the error ( i was configuring something in sendmail before restarting it).
As about the second error, no ideea what is it for. Both errors occured after i rebooted the server. Could it be a hardware issue? software fault ? The server worked fine since it was installed. Had no such errors, no errors at all.
Any ideeas?
Thanks alot.
Cheers.
