There's a bit of things you have to do to prepare the Gatos hack drivers to work.
I've got a PCI version of the ati 128 all in wonder. You've essentially got to set your kernel modules, set your XFree modules, and the correct permissions on your V4l system.
If you want me to, you could set up a guest acct and I could show you the process to patch for gatos. And if you want to capture, you cannot use DRI (i know, it stinks). Please let Tek-Tips members know if their posts were helpful.
