MDI form add items to form 1

I added an MDI form to my project, but each time i try to add controls to it, it does nothing..

how do you add controls to an MDI form?

Except few controls may be a timer you cannot add any cotrols to MDI forms.

actually on another project i was able to copy and paste a frame with its controls over to another MDI form and it stayed.....

i dont know why i could copy and paste the controls and not just create them......

Place a picturebox onto the MDI Form then place your controls onto the picturebox, you can align the picturebox also left/right/top/bottom
