I have an .mde database opened for my application where the databse is somewhere on a network

The other day the network crashed and when I try to open the .mde file it says that I cannot open exclusively while someone is logged in. But I'm not trying to open exclusively!

How do I recover my database file?

There is no .ldb file indicating a current login either

Help

Thanks

Its a shot in the dark but I had a similar problem, network crash, no ldb file and allegedly someone using the file. It turned out to be the permissions of the residing folder getting screwed up. Once they were sorted it worked fine.

Hope this helps

Thanks Lenny

I'll try that

When you say permissions I assume you mean network permissions. I'm not the administrator in this case.

I can access the folder easily enough using explorer
