mde form

Hi, I have a split database sitting on a server and everyone has a shortcut to the mde form on their desktops. This works great, but when I try to change the mdb part of the split database it tells me i'm not the exclusive user at this time so I have to get everyone to close the database to make any changes to the form/reports. Have I done something wrong as I thought that I could make changes to the form/reports.

if you've created an .mde database you cant change any design. If you have an .mdb database you cant change any design of tables whilst another user is using any part of the database which references that particular table. check exactly what you have.
