MDB vs ADP Query Difference

In an MDB file I'm able to request data from a user from within a query by entering specific information into the criteria field --example

Between[Enter the Start Date]and [Enter the End Date].

Although it appears i could work around the issue by using the query by form method that is being addressed in a prior thread, I was wondering if there is a simple syntax difference between .MDB and .ADP which would allow me to use the method i've identified. Does anyone Know?

Not that I know of. I believe you will either have to use the InputBox function or controls on a form for the user to enter the dates. The advantage of using controls is that you can format them to ensure the user enters a valid date.
