I have an opportunity to buy an old MD110 from a friend's company. He isn't a telephone guy, so I don't know how reliable his information is, but they have an MD110 with version 6 software.

Does anyone know what the current version is, and whether or not it is worth buying a system with version 6?

I don't have an immediate need for it, but I hate to pass up a great deal. I can get the entire system for about $1K. Supposedly supports about 200 users. Don't know much more about it, and I am new to the MD110.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi,

The version is very old. The current Version is BC11.

MD6

I must confess that I am no MD specialist (yet) but still my comment might be helpful. BC6 is indeed very old and if you want to use the MD in a company you´ll have problems with support which you´ll definitely need. On the other hand the components of "your" MD might be used with a new BC or might be interesting for reselling.

The BC6 is oll but is a good revision and if the price is $1000 is very well, because same cads cost this, for example the IPU.

There is one big disadvantage: BC6 does not understand EDSS1 (EURO-ISDN). ACD is very bad implemented, I hope you have ELU25 in the shelf.

I live in the US, so not understanding EURO-ISDN is not a big deal. But it would be nice if it could support NI-1, the US standard for ISDN. Of course I don't know if it has digital trunking anyway.

Are there any features that anyone knows of off-hand that aren't supported by BC6?

Thanks,
