We have a VMAL port set up on our NIU card at the second port on the card. The switch is a MX1 TSW R2A, also referred to as BC13.
The port has been verified as being programmed correctly by our Ericsson tech. However, we are not getting any data passed through th eport when we call our Hunt Group number, usually we would get some CPID data.
We have connected a laptop and are using ProComm Plus to look for data, and we do get CTS and CD at 9600 baud, E,7,1. However in the programming there is no option where the switch will accept the baud rate anyways. Even if the baud rate was off, we would still see some garbage characters sent from the port.
The question is, which pins are what on the Ericsson VMAL (serial) cable? We thought that the pins used are: 2&3 T&R, 6,7,8&20, with 6,8 & 20 needing to be tied together.
The only info our tech can give us right now is that DTR on the laptop needs to be set high.
ANy onfo would be appreciated.
