Hi, all,
simple question - if md110 works as only transit station, e.g., 3 PRI EDSS1 - the law of 11-12 calls in 10 seconds and no more or alarm, works or not? Can it carry the load upto 100% ?

Thanks

Sorry, understood myself - it can carry the 100% load, but with set-up connection rate of 11-12, may be, up to 19 calls in 10 seconds.

single lim systems only can handle 12 setups per 10 seconds.
multi lim systems handle 9 setups per 10 seconds per lim.

Does anyone know how this compares with the MD110’s competitors call handling rate?

I know the MX-ONE candle 50 calls per 10 seconds

It was increased, at SP10 of BC11, to 20 calls per 10 seconds per LIM.

indeed there was an increase,

this is what ALEX BC12SP7 has to say :

[tt]
13 Traffic capacity
These values are applicable for ASB 501 04 systems with:

Single LIM, two LIMs or multi-LIM systems with Group Switch GBP10.
Minimum two PCM links between LIMs with this capacity for a two LIM system or LIMs with this capacity and the Group Switch in a multi-LIM system.
Call Information Logging via Ethernet and set up for 10 Kbytes buffers.
If ACD, IP or Mobile Extensions are in use, this has to be calculated separately.
The ASB 501 04 is designed for a traffic capacity of 0.2 erlang/extension.

BHCC Busy Hour Call Completion

The number of completed calls in an uninterrupted period of one hour during which the average intensity of traffic is at its maximum.

BHCC, for the individual LIM = 1.8 calls/second.

BHCA Busy Hour Call Attempts

The number of attempted calls in an uninterrupted period of one hour during which the average intensity of traffic is at its maximum.

The BHCA value is 10 times the BHCC value.

[/tt]

so it's not 20 calls but 18 calls per 10 seconds if the recommendations above are followed

Certainly you should follow the recommendations, though I think you'll find it taking 20 before Alarming and rejecting new calls.
