Md110 problem with external VM

Hi,

I have a customer that since an outage of 2meg leased lines at the weekend, cannot access VM from a site.

Lim 1 has external VM over 8 analogue line and ICU link.

Lim 2 had failure of 2meg lease line

Lim 3 connected by lease line, no failure.



Now Lim2 users cannot access VM, it just rings and never picks up. Any idea?
 
Every normal VM will answer the analog port, independently whether ICU-Signalling works or not. If LIM2-User dials the gh-group and it rings, then VM must normally answer. So I think, VM does not answer because of problems with ICU-Signalling. Try sfcei
 
If the following programs are installede in LIM=1,then it should work to call from LIM=2 to LIM=1, to check VM messages.
IHAH and IHH in LIM=1. ILP (or ILNP/ILCP) in LIM=1.
DIM in LIM=1. DIR, IDP and MWP in all LIMs in the system.

Anyway, whta type of external VM do you use?
When calling from LIM=2 to LIM=1 to check for VM messages both the extension number and the VM password should be entered, compared to when you call loclly to the VM - in some cases - # is used instead of the users extension number.

Are there any faulty signals relating to the PCM links for LIM 2?

Can extensions in LIM 2 call other extensions - analog and digital - in LIM 1 & 3?

If extensions in LIM 2 call the individual VM ports directly does the same condition occur?

Can extensions in LIM 2 call other hunt groups in LIM 1 or 3 successfully?

Is there more than 1 PCM link in LIM 2?

Everything else worked fine, there were no alarms and no lost signals.

I restarted DIM and DIR in Lim 2 and everything started working.

This was BC12 site and One Box voicemail.
 
Maybe DIM should be moved from LIM=2 to LIM=1, in order to avoid this problem in the future?
