here in my pbx MD110 BC12, in all digital telephone sets there are lot of unwanted names showing against a particular extension, like

DEL SOLOMON = 1035
DELVIN SOLOMON = 1035
PABX ROOM = 1035

using NIINE command, it delete only the names entered by winfiol, still all these names in digital telephone's phone book is showing!

i want to delete all these unwanted names from the telephone set's phone book.

Hi Monrovia
NIINE:DIR=1035;
and
NIINE:NAME="DEL SOLOMON";
NIINE:NAME="DELVIN SOLOMON";
NIINE:NAME="PBX ROOM";

you can try it

best regards

NIINE:NAME="DEL SOLOMON";
NIINE:NAME="DELVIN SOLOMON";
NIINE:NAME="PBX ROOM";

asking num. NUM=?

NIINE:NUM=1035,NAME="DELVIN SOLOMON"; In this, msg - name not found in NDB is coming.

i think, this is in the phonebook of the telephone DBC 4223. how to delete it from there?

the advice given is good, the phone book is not in the phone its on the switch. be sure you have syntax right, for example it must be exact like "<space>name" is not same as "name", you must get it exactly right. maybe a lot of testing but you will find correct format at end.

above, 1035 extn have many names showing. but presently no name showing for the extension in the display. so how to end these names and put a new name?

i can put a new name using
NIINI:DIR=1035,NAME1="PABX",NAME2="ROOM",NAMDB=YES;
then this name will display on the screen of phone. but all other names which i give above is still there in phonebook which i cannot delete.

thanks dayaftertomorrow and parnum

that worked! there was some spaces infront of the names!

yes i thought so - i had this many years ago and spent several hour thinking what i was doing wrong until i realised how simple my problem was!
