Hi All,

If you wanted to make the MD110 IP enabled without upgrading to the MX-One or replacing it., what is the best options?

Basically, the client wants IP-DECT i.e. to replace their Integrated DECT and go IP-DECT and increase the capacity of the system.

Do you need any specific software, hardware or version on the MD110 to make this possible?

I assume to make the MD110 IP enabled you would require an IP Gateway.

What protocol would the MD110 communicate with the IP Gateway (SIP, H323, Qsig)? If they can do several what is the best protocol?

Thanks

Hi,

To go IP, you need latest MD110 version called TSW (aka BC13).the feature set is limited to H323 however. So if you have an IP-DECT solution that supports H323 than you are good to go.
The Aastra(Ascom) solution is based on SIP and is only supported from TSE because TSW does not support SIP.

Think you will want a IPLU board to register your IP handsets to and then your data switches to have QOS and VLAN's applied to them where necessary don't forget the power supply to the IPDECT handsets either local power for each handset or you may want to purchase a power over Ethernet switch?
