Hi!,

I´ve a question for you. Can anybody who knows my MD110 modem number enter in the system although he doesn´t know any password (neither level 6 nor level 7)?. I don´t want to know 'how to', only if it´s possible.

Thank you very much.

Hi

There is some possibilities to look for lost password of the MD110, but the first step is to have a known password to access to the Software and then try to decode the password above the accessed level.
Only having a modem number is not enought and guessing the password, even at level 0, if there is any, will take a lot of time due to the blocking of access after 3 unsuccessfull tries.

If one can log on with HELP at a high enough Auth level
to SACOP they can decipher the passwords for all levels.
The only safe thing to do is remove HELP from all
passwords!

for proof of concept, we have tried in our lab without knowing any password to decript it directly reading dump data from HDU and we can decode it succesfully. obviusly you must have physical access to the HDU.

Hi,
you told about modem, but now about physical access to the HDU :) . Of course, if you have direct access to the station, there are some methods to know the psw, and E/// knows about it, and dilers, too.
