As we ended selling the OCTEL voice mail systems for the MD110 and got the IVM for small systems, we faced this problem that you describe.
So, I am sorry that time stamp is not possible with IVM.
IVM gives the user the possibility to record a welcome greeting and re-record it, if needed.
The user can listen to new and saved messages.
Messages can be deleted or saved.
The user can also change or remove his/her passoword.
One very fine thing about the IVM is the sound quality.
But if time stamp is required, a One Box voice mail system should be installed.
I was told by one customer, that the IVM users in the company were saying in their welcome greetings, that if someone left a message in a IVM mailbox, they should remember to tell the IVM user what time and date the message was left.
