McShield Won't Run as a Service

Help! I'm going totally crazy with this one. I installed Netshield to an NT4 SP6 server; got an error during install that services couldn't start and finally ignored it to complete install. Software seems to run fine, except McShield is not running as a service. When I look in the hardware portion of the service it is empty. All the other McAfee services indicate "original configuration" in the hardware section. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.

Which versionon of netshield you are running ?
if you are using 4.5 you need to apply a service pack.

The best thing to do is remove netshield, then manually clean directories and registry.

Thanks for the reply. I am running 4.50 and I have already installed the service pack. I spent an hour on the phone with the techies last night to no avail. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled, then uninstalled again and tried reinstalling with a user account rather than the system account -- all with no luck. I still get the same Error 1920 during the install and (when I ignore the error) I get the error about not being to run McShield as a service because it is disabled. When I go into the hardware profile for McShield, it is empty; doesn't show disabled or any configuration. I can download and update the DAT files (did that OK last night), but I can't run any task manager duties. I have checked every forum and on line support I can find and eliminated all of their points as possible causes. Still stuck. Any more suggestions? Thanks again for your help.
