Hello,

Can anyone recommend a good prep book for W2K MCSE. I was an MCSE for NT 4, but I think my cert expired. I have some knowledge of W2K. I just started working with W2K earlier this year. Can anyone recommend a good book for someone like me? I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Oh, I have a lab in my basement. I have 6 PCs running NT4, W2K server/Pro, RH Linux 7.3, and XP Pro. Plus I have a removable HD so I can switch OSs and do my little experiments. In addtion, I have a Cisco 2600 series router. Having this little lab, I don't think I should sign up for a class.

P.S.
Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

with a 4.0 foundation i choose the exam-cram books from coriolis to flesh out the facts the were presented on the exams (as microsoft exams like to test the obscure and unusable information). as with anything, real knowledge comes from real time working with something; but i found my scores on these exams were boosted via direct-fact regurgitation. i have passed 4 exams using these books for focus, but the real key has been the 50+ hours a week that i work with the w2k platform.

just what has worked for me,

Thank you for the advise. I'll purchase exam cram's core four. I think I'm ready for it, since I've been working on windows environment for five years now. Four years with NT, 8 months with W2K server, and 2 years with linux and sun. I will also purchase the transcender exams to check my knowledge. Once again, thank you everyone for your sound advise.

Cheers,
