I need to make a decision to take MCSE 4.0 or 2000 classes by Monday.  My idea is to get my MCSE 4.0, get hired, and hope to get some help with the upgrade.  So far everybody is telling me to go for 2000?  There is a much greater cost and my question is for how much greater return.  Any thoughts?  Thanks for any feedback.

There is definitely going to be greater returns in pursuing the Windows 2000 track, as within the next year or so, there will be a high demand for individuals with W2K skills. However, the product itself is much more complicated that the NT 4.0, and therefore pursuing the certification will be a hell of alot more intense and involved. If you have access to a few PC's, and can setup a lab environment with W2k, I would suggest pursuing that certification.
