Hi all,
I need information about the procudure to get the MCSD certification.Basically I am from As/400 background.I know VB6.0and SQL server 2000.I did not do major projects in these.

I know there are 3 core exams and 1 elective.

1.Is there timeframe within that I have to pass these exams.
2.Is there a sequence take these exams?
3.What is the time required to study and get certification for an average person say spend 2 hours per day.
4.Is there good web site I can get sample questions?
5.What is the best company to get online training?

Thanks in advance for help

1. You just have to take the exams before any are retired. Considering the Architectures exam for MCSD .NET will not be released until early/mid next year, I'd speculate the current track exams won't be retired until end of 2004/early 2005.
2. No, take them as you wish.
3. That will still depend on the indivdual. Head over to certcities.com and review some literature there. Also, search here for others opinions. You're not the first to cross this bridge.
4. Transcender.com has good simulation exams, with question content very similar to the actual exam. I believe they have a few free demos.
5. Maybe someone else can comment.

Lastly, refer to and review the FAQs, Procedures, etc.... Jon Hawkins
