Hi there,

I have a few MS certs including my MCITP Server Admin on 2k8, MCSA 2k3...

I'm considering attempting my MCSA on Server 2k12 and if I understand correctly in order to upgrade, I will need to take the 410, 411, 412.

In the past, I've got away with studying with trial versions on VMWare on not particularly brilliant hardware and this has been OK although wasn't great with my 2k8 certs. I've approached work and they are going to let me have an "all singing all dancing" workstation which I'd like to study on. The question is, if I download an .iso from the MS site for Server 2k12 what is going to be the length of time I get to study. I mean, with 2k8 I think I got up to 180 days or so. The other question is, if I need to reinstall 2k12 images and register them with MS, can I do this on the same hardware. Basically, I'm looking for the best way to study this product.

I hope the above is clear and thanks in advance.

Perhaps you might want to look at an MS Technet subscription which is perfect for this kind of stuff.

Hi Neill, thanks for getting back.

Funnily enough, I've decided to approach our client team who have a subscription and will see what they can do for me!

Once again thanks for the sound advice.

Regards,
Adam
