Dear all,

I have a situation in which i need to limit the cost of calls on monthly basis for selected users....
Ideal solution will be having cellphones with prepaid cards....
Is it possible somhow to get the same solution on MD 110??

I have 2W/TL11 PTT trunks without 16/12 Khz pulses....

The parameter states the maximum charging cost associated with an extension. Maximum cost is in terms of pulses and therefore the call duration is limited by the assigned number of pulses.

It seems that MCOST is suitable only on per call basis & having pulse records from PTT....

In my situation I need to control calls on monthly basis & without pulse records...

Any brilliant ideas out there???

There are solutions i.E. in hospitals, where the chargingsystem controls the extensions. If a costlimit (depending on summed call duration and dialled number) is reached for one extension, the system logs into MD110 and will change the cat of the extension to internal. You should look in your market for such an aystem. I think it is an easy thing for an specialist to program such an application.

I am using Ringmaster - Softex billing system here....
Well your example gave me a idea & i will look into the existing billing system for auto notification for the costlimit function( I am not sure if it exists in this program).....& then I can manually change the CAT for the extension ....

Do you have some more info about the suggested charging system so that i can look in for some details???
