Just a quick enquiry regarding Windows MCI. I have found that it is possible to record sounds to a WAVE file using and Is it not possible to record to memory/buffer instead of straight to the disk?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Mark.

Don't know if this will help but on a set of applications we took a look at "Ram Disk" which was a utility that partitioned part of the ram and made it look like a small disk to the application. We then experimented with writing and reading the input/output files to this. I am not quite sure that I have labeled it correctly above but a search of yahoo/google will tell you.

Good Luck
