Hi guys,

I'm administrator of 9 networked Mitel 3300 ICPs and I'm sure they're all OK - system SW is 10.0.1.23 (MCD4.0SP1).

Recently I got a new PC running Windows 7 64 Bit and I'm using IE9 (32 Bit variant).

Formerly, with XP, I never had any issues when doing backups.
But now sometimes the systems won't transfer the ipera3k.dba-file.
Of course JAVA is installed, popups are enabled, the protected mode of IE is switched off and security\downloads are enabled.

However the systems sometimes (not always) endlessly stay in the "Backup in progress"-window.
When looking at the logs the system reports "BR_Manager - DB Backup - completed successfully. Client will initiate FTP transfer" - but there is no transfer.

What is missing?
Can anyone summarize all requirements for doing backups?
And where do I find the identidb.obj? I can't find download links.
Can I copy an old identitydb.obj-file?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Karsten

I know you seem to have covered everything but have you put the sites in trusted sites?

You could also try Avant Browser, it uses the IE engine but without some of the quirks that IE9 brings to the table.

Try removing IE 9 and revert to IE 8. That fixed similar issues I was having.

Did you turn off windows firewall?

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions and help!

Meanwhile I am able to do backups from all far locations but not from the system here in the office.
Maybe I should talk to my colleagues who are responsible for the network...

Thanks again,
Karsten

I would. If you can back up the remote systmes then I would say all is well with your PC.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
