MCD Software Installer

Hi,

Does anyone know if the MCD Software installer is only for the version of code to be installed?

i.e:

MCD 6.0 Software comes with MCD software installer 12.0.1.11

Can I use MCD software installer 12.0.1.11 to install MCD 4.0 Software?

I'm upgrading a Mitel 3300 currently on 9.0 and will need to take it to MCD 4.0 for SDS conversation prior to MCD 6.0 I don't want to uninstall and reinstall.

Should work, I'm using SI 12.0.0.17 to upgrade several hundred controllers from 9.0.3.34 to 10.0.4.24.

Absolutely. It is backwards compatible.

I always use the most recent SI tool and it has always been backwards compatible

safest would be to use the SI tool for the load you are upgrading to. Not aware of any issues of using the latest but you never know.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Absolutely. The SI Tool is always backwards compatible, but do recommend having the latest SI tool for all the new features.
