MCD 5 - Offline adding of additional licences

HI Guys

Has anyone tried or anyone know the process for adding incremental licences to MCD 5 systems?? You can no longer just type in a new password etc.

The only thing in all docs refers to the Offline method for Install or Upgrade of software but nothing about adding extra licences??

It';s been mentioned that you use the software installer, but for me that's a non starter as to just add licences it will reboot the controller or you have to guess when it's done and stop it.

Any ideas befor i go to Mitel?

I have never tried but you could download the license file onto an ftp server as per the docs and try and update licenses. Maybe it will fail syncing with the AMC and search the FTP servers AMC directory to retrieve licenses as it does with a software upgrade.

Yeah I was thinking that or reading the docs, which really aren't very clear, could set up a schedules software upgrade event and it looks for licences first then when no software found doesn't upgrade? Think I'll get clarification from Mitel. Will post the answer
