Hi Guys

Has anyone else notice that after you upgrade to MCD 4 and use RDN sync there is no way to bulk delete users?? I have a site where i want to move 100 users from one controller to another. Now i know with RDN sync you can't do a "Move", but what i was hoping for was to be able to export the user config form and delete the users i don;t want on controller a, import the form again, let RDN sync to other controllers, then basically do the same but adding to controller B. However when export and (eventually) get the data in the right order, delete the 100 users and import the form, it hasn;t got rid of them! It used to be that when you imported it would overwrite what was there, but now appears not!

Any ideas??

Gasp!!

You're a lot braver than me.

Risk / Reward analysis.

- Reward - Time savings if all works out
- Risk - Database corruption, synchronization issues

Couple hours work vs. days troubleshooting and possible downtime.

Risk not worth it in my opinion.

I do tend to agree, so would you sit there and delete each user?

Hopefully Mitel will put in a version of TASMAC in MCD soon!!

Yes I would delete 1 at a time.

First Step would be to export all set data, groups, keys, rerouting, etc

After deleting every 10 or so I would check my SDS logs

Recreating with Import Spreadsheets on second system.

I've heard a major overhaul of the ESM interface is on it's way. Templates are supposed to be part of the bargain.

Something equivelent to TASMAC
for those not in the know OPS has a import method called...

T he
A wesome
S Cheduled
M oves
A dds
C Changes

Spreadsheet.
