I am preparing to upgrade to MCD 4.1 and also migrating to RDN Sync via SDS. Anyone done the same? I have read the tech document from Mitel. Just wondered how things went....looks a little nasty and I dread doing it.

What load are you at now? Don't think its that bad. I am assuming you have a cluster controller by OpsMan,so are you using SDS to share forms like Feature access codes and such? It looks to me like you only need to sync Ops and cleanup. Setup sharing in you haven't already, share user profile, run the migration precheck and cleanup. Final sync in Ops. Delete any schedules in Opsman.

I don't know thats what I read. I have only do a non Ops cluster. Going from a single 3300 R9 to MCD 4 cluster without OpsMan, then upgrading to 4.1 Most of the process appears the same except the involvement of OpsMan.

I am at 4.0 SP2. Yes I am clustered but with only 2 controllers and the 2nd is only there in failover mode so its more redundant.

ok, so its shouldn't be a big deal if you follow the process again. Sync Ops to find any problems. Fix any it finds. Follow the guide on syncing user profiles and run the migration precheck on each 3300. Fix whatever it finds. Final Sync of Ops to see any changes you did to fix the migration precheck errors. Remove schedules from Ops.

oh yeah. Backup before backup after.
