I have two 3300 controller version MCD4.1 SP2 and running as resilient.

I programmed an ext. A in controller A and setup controller B as its second element.
Now I powered down the controller A. Since the remote directory form cannot be modified in MCD4.1. Would it be possible to delete ext. A in controller B?

Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Kelvin

Like you said, you can't alter the remote directory form in 4.1. Therefore you can't remove the extension by any means that I am aware of.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Is it possible to tell us what you are trying to do?
I don't see what you are trying to achieve
If you do not want the extn to be resilient then do not check the option.
If you want it to be on controller B then just do that
or if you want it to be a non clustered 'local number' then check that box
creating a resilient extn and trying to modify it when the system is in failover is not how the software is designed to work.

Thanks for all your reply!

Controller A is Mxe, controller B is vmcd. Both of them are our testing system.
One day, our customer's Mxe was down suddenly. So we sent the controller A to them for temporarily use. So there are many number remains in vmcd but cannot be deleted.

I just wish to confirm that I have no way to delete it. And I'll flag off the vmcd.

Thanks again for all your info.

No the device is linked to the other controller via SDS
You can either add another extn and leave the resilient device in place or as you suggest backup the system flag off and start a fresh.

no way to delete it without restoring the first system and removing resiliency.
