McAffee Virus Scan Hangs Acer Laptop

Hi we have an Acer 522TX laptop that hangs whenever McAffee Virus Scan is in the startup group - the laptop is networked thru Netware 5 & hangs as as the ZEN Application launcher tries to load - the 'hang' is total re-booting is the only way out - on all other Acer laptops there is no similar problem, (they are all identically configured as far as we can tell - or should be anyway) - any ideas would be gratefully received - thanks

What version of mcafee software are you using..?

if you are using the 4.5.1. try downloading the servicepack1 from the mcafee site, this fixes a lot of known issues inculing some "freezing"
