Mcaffee Office 3.10.0.0 Uninstall/Reinstall problem

Evry time I try to Install or uninstall this version of mcafee Office i get the following error message:

A network application is running and using a file that needs to be replaced.Please Uninstall reboot and then install.
***********************************************************

Does anyone know what this message is refering to? It is not very descriptive and I have been trying to remove this from my system since I have upgraded to Windows 2000 and most of the applications that came with this suite don't work under NT technology.

I've encountered the same problem, and have tried many workarounds, to no avail. Please email me at scotty_shields@yahoo.com if you have succeeded in uninstalling McAfee Office -- or if you have uncovered any hints that many enable me to do the same.
