Mcafee won't load stat_500

Tried manually loading netshld.nlm on the server. And got 2 errors:

loader cannot find public symbol: stat_500
loader cannot find public symbol: closedir_510

Any ideas?

Ok, either ensure you are running the latest service pack or reinstall NetShield. The public symbol errors mean that you are probably running an old MLN or two... -----------------------------------------------------

The server is a 4.11. Went through Novell's KB and found document id 10056260. It sez it's caused by an incorrect nlm version of CLIBAUX.NLM.

Another document 10064280 sez SCCFA.NLM is not loaded and that the cause was the same as above.

Anyone else seen this problem?

What level of Support Pack do you have installed? You should have AT LEAST SP8a. But SP9a will work fine also!

Dumb Question

How do you check for SP versions on the server?

Load INSTALL.NLM and go down to PRODUCT OPTIONS.

From there select VIEW/CONFIGURE/REMOVE Installed Products.

This will bring up the Currently Installed Products box where you should see a line that begins with SPACK. Thats what you have installed.

Found that by typing 'version' on my netware 5 servers you get this info. Is this the same for 4.11?

Unfortunately... No. You have to do it the long way with NetWare v4.11. Though, I am glad that they included that change for NetWare v5.x.

The Novell document id worked fine. Loading CLIBAUX allowed me to run NETSHLD. So I added the load for CLIBAUX on the NETSHLD.NCF.
