Hello,

After we've upgraded the McAfee Virus Scan 4.5 to 4.5.1, the computers lag significantly. So far, we can't find any piece of info about this. Please help - any suggestion or info is appreciated.

There was another problem with the option to scan the boot record at startup. Some computers were unable to boot up at all when we had the scan boot record at startup selected. We have to live without it.

There is a hot fix for this and the 4160 engine. I don't have the document in front of me at the moment. Prior to the hot fix I just made sure that I didn't scan all files. This was especially a problem for someone running desktop themes and sounds as it wanted to scan the .wav files prior to playing them....a nightmare on a slower workstation.
