Running on an NT box --SP6a
This problems happens once every few days, I will have a user call me up with this error message on boot up of their nt box.
Please Start the virus scan console from the start menu.
I checked their Event Log and did not find anything out of the ordinary. I've tried removing all registry keys and re-installing. I thought I fixed this problem, but then a few days later McShield fails to start.
Also, we've had this software awhile and didn't have any problems till recently. I have this installed on every nt box we have here, and they all have this problem, but at different times. I haven't found any pattern to when it will fail..but usually happens on a boot up. And occationally with an autoupdate.

Anyone have a suggestion, because McAfee's support people aren't very helpful and their site is very lacking for a support knowledge database.
