It's one of those bundled software titles that come with something else that you want. Mcafee pays to have it put in there. I would remove it and prevent it from installing the next time by unchecking the box at install time. It's always optional, it's just that people don't pay attention (next, next, ok, next).
I tell everyone to uncheck everything bundled because it's not part of what you actually want.
