I removed McAfee 4.5.1 w/SP1 from a Windows ME machine so that I could upgrade that machine to WIN XP Pro. I tried to reinstall McAfee and I keep getting an error. "Windows Installer says the file is a network resource that is not available. Check path to VScan451.msi installation path." I have tried to install from CD-ROM, server and downloading it from NAI.

Any suggestions on how to get it to install?

Thanks.

When you install the 4.5.1 specify a custom installation path without spaces, C:\ProgramFiles\NetworkAssociates\ViruScan
That will solve your problem caused by the MSI.

If if happens while upgrading to v7.0 you might look at solution ID NAI30667 on the NAI knowledge base.
