McAfee Firewall 3.0

I've just bought McAfee Firewall 3.0 , and when its switched on, nothing can access the internet. I've set a list of programs to full, unfiltered access, but still, unless I switch off the firewall, they cannot access the internet.

Is there a way I can make it so that when a program tries to access the internet, it asks me if I want to allow it (like ZoneAlarm).

Any help would be appreciated...

This appears to be a setup and configuration error for which Mcafee Technical help should help you solve. Contact them and they will take you step by step through the setup. Also have you got the latest update of 14/1/02 from

Did you ever get this resolved? I had the same problem using the firewall that came bundled with ViruScan 6.0. I eventually gave up on it after several fruitless discussions with McAfee techsupport. I would still like to get McAfee firewall working.

There's a wizard you can run with the firewall to select which programs you want to allow to access the Internet. I've managed to get this running by just executing the wizard from the VS Console.
