Hi

My server running McAfee ePolicy 2.5 had a hard drive crash. I rebuilt it and reinstalled McAfee ePolicy 2.5 I then sent out the Agent install, the machines I was senting out to already had the agent & virus software installed. The new agent is working, and all my machines are all updating fine. 1 problem though, The ePolicy frontend has not updated the machines in my domain saying they are running the agent, I have refreshed and all that stuff, and a week latter the problem is still there, 8 machines are showing agent installed, just the rest are not.
Any idea's

Thanks, Simon

Check in the "Lost & Found" area if the other machines have reported back there. If not, I suggest you do verify if you can connect to those "missing" machines by using this trick:

address of the machine:8081>

This will check if it can do an Agent Wake-up Call, which uses port 8081 by default.

Hope this helps.

Thanks AVChap

Yep they are all sitting in lost&found, what are they doing there? and how do I move them back into my domain list??

Simon

The reason they're there is because an identically named machine is already in the domain list. I suggest just delete the other machine names in the domain and either move the machins to the proper domain. Or if you're using IP address sorting, just do a domain sort.

Hope this helps.
