McAfee Central Version

Help! I am getting this message when I double-click the V-Shield of VirusScan 6.0 (upgraded to v6.02.1019):

2.31.1139 is the wrong version of McAfee Central ( 'C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee Shared Components\Central\Central.dll' ). The expected version is at least 2.31.1140.0.

Where can I download this other version? If anyone can provide me with a link or something, that would be fantastic.

I assume you updated during the installation phase Try uninstalling and re-install, this time don't update yet. Wait until the program finishes and you've rebooted then update online. This is caused by the registry being updated BUT the central.dll file still on the old version.

Thanks for the help!

I just talked to a McAfee person and he helped me through the process. Yeah, I had to delete that central.dll file, and then repair it. I then needed a patch and now it works fine. ^_^
