McAfee Agent selecting wrong repository from list

We're using ePO to distribute a repository list. It seems that even though it gets the list, it still selects only the main repository.

did you enable the other repositories in your ePOAgent policy configurations?

this is required for the agents to enable the repositories and use them to update from.

How are you configuring the agents to find the repositories?

In the EPO Agent policy, there are options to configure the clients to choose the repositories they update from.

I think there are 3 options:

1) Ping Time
2) Subnet
3) Static list

1) self explanatory
2) depends if you have different subnets, you can configure the client to update from a repository within the same subnet
3) you specify the order.

Hopefully this should give you a better understanding as to how the clients are updating and how you can change this.

Note: Ping time may not always find the nearest repository, as it is possible that a machine in another country can respond quicker to a ping request than a machine in the next room.
