Is it possible to tween the Alpha properties of a movie clip, if the graphics of the movie clip has a gradients?

Can this be done without using actionscript, and if so how?

Yes! The same way you would tween any other movie clip. Regards,

Two keyframes on the timeline. Right-click somewhere in between them and select Create Motion Tween. Select one of the keyframes and select your symbol. Then in the Properties panel, adjust your Alpha value to what you like. frozenpeas

I allways set my second keypoint after I create the motion tween! Neeter! Regards,

Are you using Flash MX or Flash 5.0? Flash 5.0 doesn't seem to create an alpha tween on a gradient. I have created multiple alpha tweens on a solid color, but can't seem to get the alpha tween to work on a gradient.

try making the gradient into a MC then just change the alpha, and it'll, work

Umm...
