I have a Hipath 4K connected to an expressions server. We are using a combination of optipoint 500 stations and optipoint 410 HFA phones. How do I properly use the MBLINE function to show if voicemail exist for an alternate extension?
With the feature a user can have several mailbox keys (MBLine) assigned to their station device.
The feature allows the user to access mail for a line that is not their prime line.
For instance the user requires notification for the Help Desk Mailbox when a new message is in its mailbox.
Up to 29 mailbox lines can be configured for a station; the limitation for the device is determined by the number of lines the device supports.
The mailbox line key can appear on several devices, however only 1 user can scroll through the same mailbox at a time.
Configuration:
1. COSSU: MB;
2. The MB destination comes from what is set on amo richt for
the route to Xpressions;
DIS-RICHTM;
3. The stations (prime/secondary or phantom) need to have on amo SBCSU:
PMIDX = ...
4. TAPRO, NO PHML (PhoneMail) Key should set; only MBLine and MB.
The host stn and secondary or phantom must change tapro: key from
PHML to MB
CHANGE-TAPRO:STNO=xxxx,DIGTYP=OPTISET,KYxx=MB
5. The host stn. X should have the MBLine assigned as ...
CHANGE-TAPRO:STNO=xxxx,DIGTYP=OPTISET,KYzz =MBLine;
zz = key number;
6. The host X must have the KCSU:Secondary line key appearance of
Stn.Y MBLine
7. Finally need to assign the MBLine with
ADD-ZIELN:xxxx,MBLine,zz,yyyy;
Also create on Xpressions the mailbox for Stn.Y….
MB Line User Instruction:
1. Message left on Phantom or Secondary Line.
2. MBLine key lights.
3. User press the MBLine.
4. Display shows Call Server?
5. User hits the check key ( v ) or OK.
6. The Secondary Phantom Line key lights.
7. HP4k connects user to Xpression on Phantom secondary line.
8. User enters the Phantom password.
9. Retrieve and delete the messages.
10. On hook.
11. MBLine light goes OFF
Remarks:
- All stations correlated to MBLine have to be a key set (KCSU) in order to use this feature.
- Station for which you want to have a MBLine key has to have a secondary line appearance on the station you configure it at.
- The secondary line can be programmed on a Key Module that is associated with the device but does not have to be physically attached to the device.
This means that if Phantom/Second.Line is on Key Module (ADD-ON) device,this (HW) is not necessary to be connected to the phone in order to retrieve
messages from the phantom’s/secondary MBLine.
- If user on optiPoint can not access the MBLine when is off-hook;
set ZAND: OPTISET, SRVCALL = NO;
If SRVCALL is set to "YES", it is possible to exit the Call Log
and OptiGuide by depressing a line key or by going off hook.
If "NO", it is set for exit by using the user interface exit key strokes.
If set ZAND: OPTISET, SRVCALL = NO;
and ZAND: OPTISET, CONSONLY = NO;
In this case, the phone display will show “Consultation ?”
Instead “Start transfer?” when is in call state.
Also consider : CHANGE-ZAND:TYPE=KEYSYS,DISLNBAS=YES;
