I have a customer whose TW server died and since they are a substantial distance from me, I wanted to take our server there to get them up and going while I determined the Hardware issue causing the problem. I did an initial install to erase our information but even though the unit sees both NICs, it will not give me the option to configure the unit in server/gateway mode, just server only.

Mitel TS said to configure the NICs after loading the MBG but I can't find where to do this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Pre 9.0 MSL allowed to configure server/gateway during the configuration.

Thanks.

have you selected the correct drivers for the 2 NIC's? Sounds to me like the MSL can see the two NIC's but only one is configured correctly

Here's the thing. It was working just fine with our database but in order to load the customer's database I had to do an initial install and install the backup when asked. This is the same MSL load and MBG load that I did an initial install on when converting from TW to MBG. What gives??

You configure the NIC's using the console on the MSL after install. If you have a keyboard and monitor on the TW server, I think you log in at the command line and once logged in enter console at the Linux prompt. AT least I think thats what you are asking.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.
