What functionality did MBG 5.0 give the customer that he did not already have in TW 4.5?

Thanks

Kenny

You also have time zone support for phones in different locations

The cust. is now getting hit for two SWA amounts, one for TW, another for MBG and is understandably questioning. Any idea why? I thought the MBG migration was a replacement for TW, but the APP record on AMC shows MBG now as a separate component of TW w/a separate SWA cost for the MBG piece. WTF?

MIMB, you are correct, MBG is the upgrade to TW.

Seems that the sales process has ordered the wrong part no. There is a Part no. to ADD to the TW app record to turn it into an MBG. You don;t need both.

You mean like 54004578 ? (TW 4.5 to MBG 5.1) That's what was ordered. And at the time of the ordered (last July) it was even a zero cost migration. Now the app record still shows TW with MBG as a licensed feature within it, like TW users. Say what? I'm confused.

ah ok, then you should be fine, MBG is Multi Protocol Gateway and TW is one of those elements.

Not sure about 5 but 5.2 gives you a SIP Trunk proxy and an App Proxy so you can have Mitel apps such as UC Mobile and AWC on a second sever on the LAN and not set up complicated firewall rules etc.

Can;t help you on the 2 SWA accounts though cause you should still only have 1 app record

The cust. opted to get the MBG migration during the promotion (free) not realizing that it would expose him to a separate or additional SWA cost. There is only one app record, and the cust rec'd a notice that it was coming up for renewal and paid the fee to renew, but then the app record still showed expired on AMC. Upon investigation we learned that with the addition of MBG that there was now a separate (addt'l) component of his TW software and renewing SWA on TW did not also renew the MBG "component". Cust was understandable very confused as was I (and still am).
