MBG as a proxy

Please correct me if I am getting this wrong but :

When using an MBG as a proxy server to a sip provider, should local streaming be enabled so that the LAN interface of MBG streams directly to sets or does this need to be allowed to go via 3300 and e2t ?

Thanks for the responses.
 
MBG server can enable local streaming, so that the local users calling one another do not backhaul
their SRTP streams all the way to the main office when both sets are locally routable to one
another.
