Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone's had this issue before, I've just had to have a Hardware ID reset on AMC for a MBG Server with 5 Teleworker Licences, long story but the Server was initially replaced and then developed another fault which required a fresh install of MSL "msl-9.4.34.0.i686", hence I needed the Hardware ID reset.

Server synched up ok with the APP Record after the ID was reset and I installed the Blade from CD "mbg-7.1.31.0-01-bladecd" However it didnt show the 5 Licences on my Server. I uninstalled the Blade and downloaded it this time via the Server from AMC, re-synched, re-booted etc, it shows on AMC as synched but it dosent show the 5 Licences on my Server but their staring me in the face on AMC.

Any Ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanx in advance..

Yep! I have experienced the same thing last year with an MBG. We tried exactly the same as you did, we intalled the blade, then uninstalled it and automatically download it and at the end the 10 user licenses we had showed nowhere.

The good news is, you have done nothing wrong. It's something to do with AMC.

After asking AMC to reset the hardware for the third time they advised us to contact tech support, so we did and they magically fixed it back stage. Tech support then asked to re synch and everything worked properly.

Be pattient with this kind of things, some times it may take more than a day or two to be resolved.

My advise is that email AMC and tell them the problem your are having, must probably is that they will ask you to open a ticket with tech support.

Good luck, you are no the first person to experience this. Let us know when resolved and what you did.

Regards,

Daniel

Sounds very plausible, I'll get back on to them tomorrow..

Thank You, I'll let you know..

Think if you reset the hardware ID too many times you can get issues and you need AMC or
product support to intervene.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Sorted/Fixed

Well sort of, basically because I configured a new Server and loaded with the latest MSL & MBG Blade and the Customer's Software Assurance was no longer valid the "AMC said no"

So I rebuilt the Server with an older MSL and downloaded the Blade and all was ok.

Many Thanks for your replies...

Had MCD 6 upgrade only partially complete because SWA had expired. Always got to check SWA.
