Hi All,

Can anyone please tell me if there is any kind of free tool that i could use to search across my network which i an admin for to find mbd files and most importantly who is the owner of them ?

If i am posting this in the wrong forum list, please point me in the right direction....

Any help you would very much appreciated..

Cheers,
Rich.

This looks more like a vbscript question to me.

What's wrong with the search function on the start menu - 'bout as free as it gets....

I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger.
Then it hit me.

Hi,

Sorry but i should have added that i need to be able to output search results to a file also which you cannot do with windows search.

DOS works fine but I'm not sure how to add owner:

dir *.mdb /s > database.txt

Type c:\>help dir for more options, it might have someway to list the owner. If not try using VB as Remou suggested. If you want to run something in the VBA module post this same question in the appropriate forum and we'd be more than happy to answer. It's best to keep things in their category so they can be found easily.
